tcAccess

From the Vendor

With tcACCESS the bidirectional exchange of information between an IBM Mainframe and MSWindows, UNIX, LINUX/Linux on System z etc. is simpler, faster and can be implemented with little programming effort. It is not relevant whether the system integration should take place at the data-, application- or presentation level.

Mainframe resources (data, databases and applications) can be accessed via SQL using standards such as ODBC and JDBC. Mainframe data sources supported include IMS, DB2, PDS/PS, SAM, CA/Datacom, ADABAS, CA/IDMS, VSAM, CICS/TS, CICS/TD and POWER.

Mainframe applications can access ODBC-, JDBC-data sources, ORACLE, MS-SQL Server and DB2/LUW. The creation of heterogenous joins between mainframe sources (i.e. IMS, ADABAS, VSAM) and RDBMS (i.e. ORACLE, DB2/LUW) is easy to implement and very efficient.

tcACCESS Administrative Functions - PC based administration tool to automatically import data structures defined in source programs or in copybooks. All relevant data formats are automatically recognized (packed, zoned, hexadecimal, alphanumeric, binary etc.). Redefined data structures, multiple record types and OCCURS group (inclusive ADABAS) are fully supported.

Platform communication via TCP/IP, SNA, Websphere MQ and HLLAPI.
