Software for automating z/OS operations. Monitors z/OS messages and other z/OS events, and can be setup to automatically respond to these events. Such rules can be created by staff with no programming knowledge using the ISPF panel driven EasyRule functionality. Routines and logic can be introduced using a REXX language, Ops/REXX.
Optional features allow Ops/MVS to interact with other subsystems such as IMS and CICS.
Originally developed by MVS Software Inc, which was acquire by Goal Systems. After Legent acquired Goal Systems, their competing product AutoMate was rolled into OPS/MVS, and AutoMate was discontinued. Acquired by Broadcom from its acquisition of CA in 2018.
