Software for testing 3270 online applications. Software can logon as a 3270 terminal, and automatically enter keystrokes. Keystrokes can be recorded from a previous session and played back, or scripted using an internal scripting language or REXX.
Originally developed by Reed software in 1988 as ProTerm (Programmable Terminal). Sold to Platinum Software, who renamed it to TransCentury Enterprise Tester. Renamed to CA Enterprise Tester by Computer Associates. Acquired by Broadcom from its acquisition of CA Technologies in 2018.
