Use SNA networks for communication between non-SNA host systems and devices. For example, between applications such as RSCS, JES/RTAM and POWER, and non-SNA devices or systems such as BSC RJE devices.
Software is installed on mainframe systems, and loaded into communication controllers (or front end processors, or FEP) such as the 3725 and 3745. Devices must connect to applications using this communication controller.
