Cross platform application development and execution environment. Allows applications to execute on multiple platforms, including z/OS UNIX, Microsoft Windows and UNIX. Foundation for other Ab Initio program products such as Business Rules Environment, Enterprise>Meta Environment, Continuous>Flows and Conduct>It.
Applications are designed using Ab Initio’s Graphical Development Environment (GDE), and consist of data processing components connected together in a data flow. Legacy applications can also use Ab Initio applications. Supports most databases including DB2, IMS, ADABAS, CA-IDMS and mainframe datasets. Also provides access to messaging systems such as Websphere MQ.
